Malcantone - One of the more characteristic regions of Canton Ticino , Malcantone’s north-to-south peaks form the watershed between the river basins of the lakes Verbano (Lago Maggiore) and Ceresio (Lago di Lugano). Arosio - Arosio lies 850 meters above sea level - the highest village of the Malcantone region. It is situated on the plateau that closes the region towards the north and overlooks the Vedeggio valley below, from which Arosio is reachable in 15 minutes by auto from the highway exit Lugano Nord/Ponte Tresa.
